Paul Gray  |  Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer

Paul plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic initiatives of the NorthStar Care Community. As a member of the Executive Team, Paul focuses on the expansion of the national efforts of the NorthStar Solutions Group, as well as the continued growth and impact of NorthStar Palliative Care. He also works closely with the Medical Affairs team to drive innovation, exploring new service delivery models, technologies, and partnerships to enhance the quality of care. In addition, Paul oversees the We Honor Veterans program.

Paul joined the NorthStar Care Community in January 2024, following six years as Chief Operating Officer at Centrica Care Navigators in Kalamazoo, Michigan where his passion to cultivate the next generation of leaders and operational expertise contributed to significant census growth.

Prior to joining Centrica, Paul spent two decades as a licensed electrician, a firefighter and first responder. Inspired by his experience as a first responder, Paul shifted gears at age 40 to pursue nursing, earning his RN at West Shore Community College and a BSN at American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Science in Aurora, CO.

Starting as an Emergency Department nurse working in multiple hospitals in west Michigan, Paul later spent two years at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon as a surgical charge nurse. From there, Paul translated his excellent operational management skills, accepting the opportunity to become Director of Operations within the Spectrum system (now Corewell Health). For more than a decade, Paul forged productive partnerships across multiple constituencies to successfully oversee a multitude of departments at Gerber Memorial in Fremont.
