TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (March 3, 2022) – Hospice of Michigan, a member of the NorthStar Care Community, announces Mary Krzystowczyk as a palliative care nurse practitioner for the Northstar Palliative Care program in Traverse City. In her new role, Krzystowczyk will help patients and families facing potentially life-limiting disease navigate their healthcare resources and facilitate discussions on goals of care.
Krzystowczyk has nearly a decade of nursing experience. Prior to joining the organization, she worked as a nurse practitioner for Signify Health in Colorado and Michigan.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and a Master of Science in nursing with a focus in primary care adult-gerontology from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan.
Krzystowczyk recently moved back to Traverse City after living in Colorado for two years. She and her husband enjoy hiking and camping with their dog, Remi.
NorthStar Palliative Care is available for adults facing serious illness who have difficulty leaving the home for care. The expert team works with the patient and their caregivers to relieve pain and other symptoms.
