Kim Ritter Joins Hospice of Michigan as Event and Donor Relations Specialist

Detroit, March 23, 2014 – Kim Ritter has joined Hospice of Michigan as an event and donor relations specialist.

In her new role, Ritter will be responsible for donor relations, special events, fundraising and stewardship. Additionally, Ritter will assist Hospice of Michigan’s philanthropy team in major gifts, annual campaigns, grants and other special projects. Based in Detroit, she joins a statewide philanthropy team of 11 that raises more than $4 million annually to cover the cost of care for the uninsured and the underinsured.

Ritter brings more than 20 years of development, events and volunteer management experience in the health care field to Hospice of Michigan. Most recently, she was senior associate director of development at the Beaumont Foundation, where she was responsible for donor relations, recognition and fundraising events and volunteer management as well as the development of donor communication pieces.

Prior to that, Ritter worked for Bon Secours Cottage Health Services Foundation and Henry Ford Health System in a variety of philanthropic and event roles.

Ritter holds an associate in business management and organizational development from Macomb Community College. She is a member of the American Fundraising Professionals and Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.

She currently resides in Clinton Township with her husband Jim.
