Hospice of Michigan Grand Opening Celebration in West Branch

West Branch, Michigan, July 3, 2015 – Hospice of Michigan will celebrate the opening of its new office in West Branch on Wednesday, July 15.

The event, which is open to all members of the community, will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the HOM office located at 2492 Business Loop I-75, Suite 3. Those attending will have the opportunity to meet HOM’s staff, enjoy appetizers from the Willow Tree Restaurant and tour the new space.

“The newly opened West Branch office provides us with a centralized location for our nursing and care teams, as well as a venue to offer grief counseling, house our volunteers and better serve the community,” said Catherine Klemish, HOM’s regional director and East Tawas resident. “We are excited to welcome the public to not only tour our new space, but to learn more about the services we offer to all those in need, regardless of a patient’s age, diagnosis or ability to pay.”

Since opening its West Branch office in March 2015, HOM has added 10 local staff members, including registered nurses, social workers, certified aides and a spiritual care advisor, to provide patient and family care. These new staff members, along with members of Hospice of Michigan’s leadership team, will be available at the event to discuss HOM’s service offerings in West Branch and answer any questions.

The organization is also seeking volunteers in the area with opportunities ranging from companionship visits and caregiver relief to music and pet therapy to care by professional massage therapists and hairstylists. Additional information on volunteering will be provided during the grand opening celebration.

Those interesting in attending the event should contact Mindy Barber-Thompson by July 12 at 989.217.0808 or mbarbert@www.hom.org.

West Branch joins HOM offices in Alpena, Gaylord and Traverse City in serving patients throughout Northern Michigan.
