Hospice of Michigan Bringing Hope for the Holidays

Free workshops will provide assistance for those coping with grief this holiday season

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Oct. 29, 2019) – Hospice of Michigan (HOM), the state’s original and largest not-for-profit hospice provider, is hosting four ‘Hope for the Holidays’ workshops in the Grand Rapids area this holiday season that will offer supportive techniques for coping with loss during the holidays.

On Sunday, Nov. 10 from 2 until 3 p.m., the greater Grand Rapids community is invited to come to the Belding Museum, located at 108 Hanover St. in Belding, for discussion on helping to comfort those who are grieving during a season of family, memories and traditions.

A second workshop will be held in Georgetown Twp. at the Georgetown Senior Center, 7100 8th Ave., from 10 until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and a third event in Grand Rapids will take place Thursday, Nov. 21 from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at The Village of Heather Hills, located at 1055 Forest Hill Ave. SE in Grand Rapids.

The fourth and final ‘Hope for the Holidays’ grief support workshop is set for 1:30 until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Samiritas: The Terraces Building, 2000 32nd St. SE in Grand Rapids.

Hospice of Michigan knows how the holiday season can be a difficult time for those going through the grieving process, and every year during this time, HOM hosts numerous ‘Hope for the Holidays’ grief support workshops throughout the state. These free events are helpful for anyone who has lost a loved one.

‘Hope for the Holidays’ workshops are among the many free grief support services Hospice of Michigan offers, providing a supportive environment for those struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one. Hospice of Michigan’s grief support programs are open to everyone in the community dealing with the loss of a loved one, regardless of whether they received care from HOM.
