Detroit, January 26, 2015 – Mary Haarman and Doug Nouse have joined the Hospice of Michigan Foundation Board, while three members have been elected officers.
The new officers are:
- Sara Smolenski, 63rd District Court judge, chair
- Lee Ann Clay, co-owner of Miller Welding Supply, vice chair
- Robert Kennedy, vice president of global automotive and manufacturing at Lochbridge, secretary/treasurer
Haarman is director of mission relations at Aquinas College, providing counsel to the school’s president on faith initiatives, public policy issues and other areas of interest. She also serves on Aquinas’ End of Life Decisions programming and planning team, which includes Hospice of Michigan. Haarman previously served as director of communications for Aquinas and the Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids.
She also is involved with the Hospice of Michigan Kitchen Cabinet, Catholic Foundation of West Michigan, Catholic Information Center Leadership Team and Lake Michigan Academy Board.
Haarman lives in Grand Rapids.
Nouse is a manufacturer’s representative at Nocran LLC in Birmingham. He previously spent almost a decade at AGC Automotive Americas – the largest global manufacturer of automotive window assemblies and glass components – as vice president of sales and marketing, overseeing the global management for Ford, GM and Chrysler. Prior to that, he worked at Pilkington-Libbey Owens Ford for 26 years as global customer development director, business director and marketing and sales director.
He also is involved with the Society of Automotive Engineers, Economic Club of Detroit, Pine Lake Country Club and Mullett Lake Property Association.
Nouse and his wife, Martha, live in Birmingham. They have two daughters and two grandchildren.
