Hospice of Michigan Offers Grief Support Groups This Fall

Ann Arbor, Michigan, October 6, 2014 – Hospice of Michigan will offer free support groups in Ann Arbor this fall focused on dealing with grief.

Each of the groups will allow participants an opportunity to express their feelings in a supportive, caring and non-judgmental environment.

Support groups include:

  • Living on, this ongoing group is held on the second and fourth Monday of the each month at HOM’s Ann Arbor office, 555 Briarwood Circle, Suite 140, from 6:30-8 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to express feelings and share experiences related to loss of a loved one.
  • Hope After Loss, held on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Nie Family Funeral Home, 3767 W. Liberty Rd., in Ann Arbor from 6:30-8 p.m. This educational presentation will address the difficulty of coping with the loss of a friend or loved one and provide a better understanding of the grief process.

These programs are free and open to the community. Prior registration is required. To register, contact Margie Martin at 734.769.5821.

Hospice of Michigan also offers workshops and group presentations to schools, churches, businesses and communities dealing with a loss, to help them understand the grieving process. Visit hom.org or contact Martin for additional details.
