The administrative volunteer may provide clerical support for all Hospice of Michigan departments, including teams and corporate office.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform standard clerical and administrative functions including:
    • General office functions including: typing, filing, copying, mailings, phone calls
    • Data entry
    • Record maintenance
    • Receptionist
    • Office maintenance
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Provides required documentation
  • Contributes to an environment in which the professional staff can work cooperatively
  • Attends educational/support meetings whenever possible
  • Facilitates community awareness and support of HOM

Qualifications:

  • Must meet minimum age requirements for a junior volunteer
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal communication skills
  • Successful completion of basic HOM volunteer training and/or patient services volunteer training
  • Demonstrates good clerical skills
