Hospice of Michigan Welcomes Bonnie Chasseur as Grief Support Manager Chasseur brings 15 years of experience, looks to aid community
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., (Sept. 16, 2016) – Hospice of Michigan has hired Bonnie Chasseur as the new Grief Support Manager for the west Michigan area.
In her new role, Chasseur will be responsible for coordinating support groups, community education and supportive counseling for families that seek grief support guidance in the Lakeshore and Muskegon areas.
Prior to this position, Chasseur spent 15 years as the director of social services at The Lakeview of Cadillac, a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation center in Cadillac, Michigan. Her responsibilities included providing counseling services to residents and their families, assisting residents with Medicaid procedures and monitoring use of psychotropic medication.
For the past 20 years, Chasseur has also instructed general education classes at Baker College of Cadillac and has served as an OBRA Coordinator with North Central Community Mental Health in Cadillac.
In addition to her role with Hospice of Michigan, Chasseur volunteers as a member of the Michigan Volunteer Registry and maintains her LMSW title in the state of Michigan through ongoing educational courses.

Chasseur holds a master’s degree in social work from Western Michigan University as well as a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Western Michigan.
