Hospice of Michigan offers a wide range of grief support services from its
offices throughout the state, including:
Grief support groups and meetings are offered for those
grieving the death of a loved one. Groups provide a safe and supportive environment for participants
to express their feelings while increasing their awareness of the grief process. Our grief
support groups are open to anyone in the community experiencing the
loss of a loved one. Some groups are open ended meetings; some are loss-specific (loss of a
spouse; parent; child) and some are 5 or 6 week series. Click
here for our listing of local grief support groups and seminars.
Children and youth services tailored to the specific needs of children and
young people are available in several locations throughout the state. Professional staff use
proven educational and supportive techniques to help children and adolescents cope with their
loss. Click here
for information about children and youth services.
Journey through Grief newsletters are sent bi-monthly to Hospice of
Michigan families as well as community members interested in receiving this information. This is another way of assuring family members
that they are not forgotten. To receive information click

Speakers bureau members are available to speak to community groups
about issues related to death, dying and grieving. To find a speaker for your community

Volunteers assist the grief support staff in facilitating support
groups, and being a grief companion to those that are grieving with supportive phone calls and
